About the Igbo Community in Russia (ICR)
The Igbo Community in Russia (ICR) is a legally registered, non-governmental, and non-commercial organization established in 2019 by Igbos residing in the Russian Federation. It serves as an umbrella body uniting all Igbos in Russia, irrespective of social status or religion, with the aim of promoting unity, cultural heritage, and the welfare of its members
Our Mission
ICR is committed to:
Fostering unity and brotherhood among Igbos in Russia.
Preserving and promoting Igbo culture, language, and traditions.
Supporting the welfare and integration of Igbo individuals and families in Russian society.
Encouraging meaningful contributions to the development of both Nigeria and Russia.
Activities and Programs
To achieve its mission, ICR organizes various activities, including:
Cultural Events: Celebrations such as Igbo Day and New Yam Festival to showcase Igbo heritage.
Educational Programs: Language classes and seminars to educate members about Igbo traditions and values.
Social Gatherings: Picnics, parties, and other events to strengthen community bonds.
Welfare Support: Assistance programs for members in need, including newcomers adapting to life in Russia.
Leadership
ICR is led by a dedicated executive team, including:

Vice President: Mr. Julius Ezeronye
General Secretary: Nze Ikay Okey Umenne
